However, what was meant to be a limited test turned into an extended gaming session for some, as reports emerged of the closed network test being hacked. This early access event allowed players to play the highly anticipated fighting game and test out its cross-platform and rollback features ahead of its official launch. Over the past weekend, a select group of players got the chance to engage in the latest Tekken 8 Closed Network Test that took place across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC platforms. Tekken 8 faces stiff competition in the fighting game genre if it comes out at some point this year. Instead, you’ll find it available only for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.Bandai Namco caught audiences off-guard this week after issuing stern warnings to those playing a cracked version of the closed beta of the year-to-be-released fighting game, Tekken 8, long after the official Closed Network Test had ended. It doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Tekken 8 launch into the marketplace for last-generation console platforms. Likewise, this might give you some time to ensure you have a platform available to play this game on. But for now, we’ll have to wait for Bandai Namco Studios to make some of these highlights. For instance, we’re still waiting for more character highlights and potentially new faces to be unveiled. That is, of course, if we don’t see the game get delayed, further pushing it back.Īs a result, we’ll likely see plenty more marketing materials released for Tekken 8 throughout this year. Unfortunately, don’t count on this game launching into the marketplace before 2023 wraps, as it seems like we won’t get our hands on Tekken 8 until some point in 2024. However, we’re still having to wait to see some of these finer details when the game launches into the marketplace. ![]() There is even a new mechanic system placed in this installment as the developers reworked some of the features that were previously presented in Tekken 7. ![]() Previously, the developers working on this installment have mentioned that there is a focus on aggressive gameplay, so you can expect more of a fast-paced fighting experience with this particular installment when it launches into the marketplace. Now we’re finally getting a better look at some of his gameplay during this latest video upload which you can catch embedded above. This character has been in the franchise since 1997, when he debuted as the protagonist in Tekken 3. You don’t have to be a massive fan of the Tekken franchise to likely recognize Jin Kazama. We have just under two minutes of gameplay footage highlighting the character and his abilities regarding the eighth mainline installment.
